My fellow Teacher Candidates and I created and presented this intercultural understanding sldieshow below in our EDEF 3200-01 class in 2023’s winter session. It was an immense learning opportunity to learn more about the research behind how our culture impacts our understanding of information that is presented to us from various means. Effective intercultural communication uses simple, clear and concise language. We also noted that if you know you will be interculturally communicating, prepare for communication by researching cultural norms around the situation you are going to be in to prevent any major misunderstandings. The last key to have effective interculutural communication was open mindedness.
