TRC Lesson Plan Submisison
This lesson plan below was chosen by a Thompson Rivers University selection committee for Truth and Reconciliation lesson plans, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. This lesson plan will be posted on a Secwépemc education page. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this lesson and accompanying resources for my first practicum. I found it a lot of fun to teach, as well as create. It is a fun way to gamify literacy skills. The students enjoyed playing it with some large foam dice that I bought to go with the games. I gave the printed copies that were put into page protectors, to my teacher mentor to use in the future because she liked them.

This is a renewed version of my first lesson plan. I am looking forward to getting to use this in my long practicum with my grade 6/7s. I look forward to getting to teach more Indigenously inspired lessons.
